Art as seen through the eyes of…
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Villa trainee Arend van
der Fliert has thought up, worked out and produced an exhibition. One
might call it his ‘masterpiece’…He has asked a great
number of Nijmegen citizens, prominent in the holebi movement or otherwise-from
bookkeeper till counselor-to part for a month with a work of art that
played an important role in their lives. Accordingly with each of those
art works a personal story was told. This way a very special exhibition
came into being.
And it’s a formula that every celebrating COC should feel free to
steal and carry out in their own city and/or region. At the very least
it will provide an entertaining and well visited opening!
