Patrik Amsterdam was born in 1966 in Durban, studied
Film and Design at the university of Witwatersrand and lives since 1990
in Amsterdam. His paintings are figurative and obviously homo-erotic, but
always with a smile.
At the moment he’s mainly working on humoristic erotic cartoons and
illustrations, but he also painted decors for the musical ‘Elisabeth’
that is touring the country right now.
Robert Cash (Delft 1961) works and lives in Antwerp.
A very versatile artist who made a name for himself by, among others,
decorating theatre costumes with paint and producing short films. In the
Villa he will show placards gathered at jumble sales, which he then decorated
with paint, text and images affirming each other. Also a number of works
from his latest exhibition ’52 handsome nudes’ will be shown:
male nudes against a playing-card background.

Additionally Wil Wijnands, someone who is well-known
from her work in Nijmegen clubs and community centers, will present her
newest paintings. Large, very personal canvases on which she transforms
her observations into color, form and feeling.
